I used the tis the season deboss with silver embossing powder and the station.  Love how this turned out with festive berries and the flick !

The crazing technique (hummingbird) is my favorite! I used a holiday stencil rather than a random one for the dry coloring technique. I struggled with the watercolor blend in the center.

Just under the wire!

Used the washi tape technique and a face stamp that I bought used.

Added the swirl stencil with modeling paste and some soft color distress stains

The added little trinkets to match those colors.

Tags of 2016 April

Great tag this month!  I didn't have a few of the supplies so improvised.  Sprayed the tag with a mix of different brown sprays and copper.  Used a Tim Holtz emboss folder for the background because I don't have wood grain.  I hit that with some distress inks and then off sprayed with black soot.  Off spray= Spray next to paper so just a light mist.  

Used the butterfly duo and modeling paste with bits and pieces of papers, then glossy accent those papers.  

Love the texture and the colors.

Remix techniques, used my argyle stencil then added in some Love words. I tried distressed emboss powders on the hearts but it didn't stick too well so sticklers to the rescue! My new die, the scribble heart with some glittery paper.   Love this frog from a TH collection, saving him for something special.  I'm not a valentine person, but enjoyed this. 

Inspiration Wednesday 2016 week 2

Ephemera collage and burning

I dug through my stash to find some paper and items that all related to birds. I used a sea grass stamp to give texture to the modeling paste on the right side of the page.  Cheese cloth pieces and torn sheet music and foreign writing were added because I love them :)  The inclusion has a clear film strip piece made by Bo bunny.  Below it is a piece of music titled chorus. Love with the branch of birds.  The hanging bird is Jolees. Added a favorite quote. 'No bird soars too high if he soars with his own wings.' William Blake  Donna burned the inclusion and other pieces on her sample.  I don't do fire.  Sorry!!! 

Tags of 2016 - January

happy January !  Love TH tags every month.  They are a good diversion from busy days and I enjoy getting to be creative.  

I didn't have most of the supplies for this tag so improvised a bit and I started tags in 2014 so techniques are new to me.  I must confess I went and bought the stamp just for this tag.  Shhhh

Honestly tried the chalkboard technique 6 times and had poor results. So after 2 sheets of black 12 x12 card stock.(boo) and distressed finger tips :),  I went to plan b. 

I took purple card stock and sprayed lightly with picket fence distress spray and Heidi swapp tinsel spray before stamping the birthday hat stamp and black emboss powder. after the heating process, I colored the card stock with white chalk.  Love the pop of color with the embossed foil. Attached the ' Good Times' sentiment from the alpha parts to tie in the clocks.

Inspiration Wednesday 2016. Week 1

Looks like I have been MIA for a year! Yikes. Hoping to keep up this year.  Loved IW 2015 so much I'm enrolled for classes in 2016.  

This year is about doing what makes me happy.  I didn't have a brush stencil so I used TH Rays stencil. Loved this technique. The drippage took a few times until I was pleased with the result.
